asked:
I am a military wife, stationed in Anchorage, AK. I want to get my general education courses out of the way during the two years left I have here in AK. I understand to become an ultrasound tech, you need clinicals and would have to physically be present at a college to do that, so I figure I could just sign up for online courses and get those out of the way. What online school and/or degree would you recommend that would cover the most gen-eds so that when we move to our next duty station, I would only need to take a few classes with clinicals and then be done and have my degree. Any suggestions would be helpful.

You should be able to go ahead and declare your program of study as Diagnostic Medical Sonography and then just begin working on the pre-requisite courses. Most/all of these you should be able to take online. If you have to name a different program of study for some reason, Medical Assisting should have many of the same pre-reqs. Once you enter the Sonography program, you are on a set schedule with the other Sono students, you can’t pick and choose what classes you will take, or when.
Make sure you find a CAAHEP accredited program:
